The Miami Valley Youth Soccer Association (mvysa) is again hosting its Striker Camp at the Warrior Soccer Complex. Those attending the camp will get three nights of instruction (July 30, 31 and August 1) from 6:00PM to 8:00PM.Ages: U10 to U18Fee: $25.00Camp Description: The main emphasis of this camp is placed on scoring goals! We will work on the technique of shooting. All campers will develop or improve on the skills of finishing/shooting while participating in a fun soccer environment. Practice sessions are designed to be age and ability specific. The curriculum will be designed to challenge each camper to his or her potential and each session will conclude with fun small sided finishing games.Camp Director: Hylton Dayes, University of Cincinnati Men's Soccer Coach The 2003 C-USA "Coach of the Year" will be entering his 13th season as head coach of the Bearcats and camp director. He has served as a head coach for 22 seasons, during which time he has compiled a 189-174-49 record. His 2006 season was arguably the best season in UC's history finishing as champions of the Big East Red Division and earning an at large berth in the NCAA tournament.
Coach Dayes is accredited with the NSCAA Advanced National Coaching diploma, the USSF National "A" license and is a member of the NSCAA National Academy Coaching Staff. Prior to joining the coaching ranks, Dayes enjoyed a distinguished playing career at Wright State from 1982-1985. A four-time All-Mideast, All-Ohio and team MVP selection, Dayes is the only athlete in school history to be named an All-American all four years of his career.
